Army Of The Pharaophs (Ejército de los Faraones) es la denominación que recibe el grupo originado en Philadelphia situado en el estado de Pensylvania en el año 1998, impulsado por el Mc Vinnie Paz miembro de Jedi Mind Tricks. En un principio la idea de Vinnie Paz era la de conjuntar en una única agrupación que aunará parte de los grandes nombres del Underground de la Costa Este. El grupo tiene fuertes lazos de unión con grupos como Outerspace, Snowgoons, La Coka Nostra, Demigodz and Jedi Mind Tricks.

El grupo lanzo su primer Ep/ Single con el nombre "The Five perfect exertions" and " War Ensemble" ambos en el año 1998, siendo incluidos posteriormente en el álbum del productor de JMT "Violent by design" en el año 2000.Ambos Temas fueron mezclados por Chief Kamachi. La historia del grupo es la siguiente. En un primer momento de su creación el grupo estaba formado por 5 Mc´s (Vinnie Paz, Chief Kamachi, 7L & Esoteric, Trip C y Bahamadia) junto al productor de JMT Stoupe the enemy of mankind. Tras la grabación de estos dos sencillos, el proyecto Army of the Pharaophs quedó estancando durante un tiempo en el silencio y no salió hacia delante como se podría esperar tras este primer paso, sin embargo la carrera de JMT si que se vió lanzada a partir de ese momento.

No seria hasta los cinco años después en 2005 cuando el grupo surgió entre las cenizas con la exclusión de dos miembros (Virtuoso y Bahamadia y Stoupe) que habían desertado del colectivo y
con las nuevas incorporaciones de Outerspace, Apathy, Celph Titled, Reef The lost cauze, Des Devious, Faez one y King Size. Tras años parados, el grupo en esta ocasión recientemente formado en sus filas con nuevos miembros grabaron su primer álbum.
El primer álbum lanzado The Torture Papers (21 de Marzo de 2006) bajo el sello Babygrande. Dicho álbum fue producido por afiliados de AOTP como 7L, DC the MIDI Alien, Undefined, Beyonder, Loptimist, Apathy y el productor alemán Shuko. El álbum incluía el single " Tear It Down" "Battle Cry", el primero con un vídeo musical y siendo este último una reducción de la posee con nueve de los diez Mc´s del grupo. El álbum debutó en el Top 50 en la lista Billboard Top Álbum independiente y alcanzó el número 42 en la revista Heatseekers.
